Zelda van Biljon
Co-Founder | Clinical Research Nurse Consultant
With over 30 years of nursing experience, Zelda brings extensive clinical knowledge and clinical research experience and a genuine passion for patient-centered care to Zentric Clinical Research. As a Co-Founder and Clinical Research Nurse Consultant, Zelda plays an integral role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials, drawing on her extensive nursing background to ensure participants feel informed, supported and cared for throughout their research journey. Zelda is passionate about connecting clinical care with innovative research and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of participant safety, quality and compassionate care.
Carmen Zentveld

With more than 30 years of nursing experience and a strong background in clinical research, Carmen brings expertise, compassion and a genuine commitment to putting people first. As Co-Founder of Zentric Clinical Research, Carmen is passionate about creating a research experience where participants feel welcomed, informed and genuinely cared for. Jannika van Biljon
Clinical Trials Assistant
Our Clinical Trials Assistant plays an important role in ensuring every study at Zentric Clinical Research runs smoothly, efficiently and with a strong focus on participant care. With a warm and approachable nature, she helps support our participants and research team throughout each stage of the clinical trial journey — helping to create an experience that feels organised, welcoming and reassuring. Dr James Courts
Medical Doctor | Principal Investigator
Dr James Courts brings extensive experience in general practice, clinical medicine and skin cancer medicine and forensic medicine to his role as Principal Investigator at Zentric Clinical Research. With more than a decade of experience as a General Practitioner, alongside his work in hospital and custodial medicine, Dr Courts combines broad clinical expertise with a strong commitment to patient care, safety and evidence-based medicine.
